Dear Friends of Liberty,
Every championship baseball team has a farm system. The major leagues don’t find polished stars. They develop them. Through A-ball and Double-A, before anyone outside the organization knows their name, players are coached, tested, and built into the people who eventually take the field where it counts.
The liberty movement needs the same thing. The think tanks, the policy shops, the legal foundations do vital work. But they need a pipeline. An organization that finds young people who believe in freedom before the world has told them to stop, and turns them into people who can actually change things.
That is what Students For Liberty exists to do. And this fiscal year, the pipeline is fuller than it has ever been.

Why does SFL Exist?
PROBLEM
Failure on Campus
F.A. Hayek observed that the ideas ruling a country today were formed in its universities a generation earlier. Change what students believe, and you change the future. That is why the campus matters more than any legislature or courtroom. And right now, on campuses across the world, the ideas of freedom are losing ground. Socialism is taught as compassion. Government dependence is taught as security. Students are punished for thinking differently.

Educate
Before students enter the public square, they study Bastiat, Hazlitt, and Hayek. They learn the philosophical, economic, and political foundations of a free society. Ideas come first. Always.
Develop
SFL trains students to lead, communicate, organize, and persuade. By running campus groups, organizing events, and building coalitions, they develop into the next generation of public leaders who can think clearly and act with purpose.
Empower
SFL gives students the resources, network, and infrastructure to act on what they believe. They organize campaigns, challenge bad policy, and defend freedom on their campuses. And when they graduate, they carry that into law, journalism, policy, and business.

The farm system is producing more talent than ever before. This fiscal year, SFL received 795 Local Coordinator applications in North America alone, an all-time record. In 2026, we will have more active Local Coordinators than at any point in SFL’s history.
The pipeline is full. What it needs now is the resources to develop every person in it.
Here is what makes that harder than it sounds. The forces working against liberty on campus are funded by governments, unions, and institutions with virtually unlimited resources. SFL takes none of that money. Not a dollar from government. Not a dollar from unions. Not a dollar from anyone whose interests run counter to freedom.
We are funded entirely by people who believe, as you do, that the next generation deserves better than what campus culture is offering them right now.
That means your gift carries more weight than you might think. Every dollar trains a student who will carry these ideas into law, journalism, business, and policy for the rest of their life. All gifts are fully tax-deductible. And if you are required to take Required Minimum Distributions from your IRA, you can roll over up to $105,000 directly to SFL, tax-free. Every dollar you redirect from the government to the next generation of liberty is a dollar that compounds for decades.
